My Journey Through Phase 2

Personally, I actually enjoyed Phase 2: Microsoft Excel and URL Components and Social Engineering. I enjoy the functions and how they operate and it seems more rewarding learning about something new like Excel than Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word is all about navigating and understanding how to use the UI which I don't like. Excel was more about understanding separate functions which I enjoyed learning. A6 Spreadsheet Analysis with trailer was actually a very good learning experience.

I think I did really well on Phase 2. Today I take the exam for Excel. I feel very comfortable with the information in Excel practice exam. There's nothing I would of done differently in studying for my exam or Phase 2. For the Exam I usually do my practice exams the night before so the information is fresh in my mind. I prepared by doing every part of the Excel Labsim and watching every video. I feel like I am ready.

I applied the information I have learned in Phase 2 by preparing for accounting, which is coming up when I transfer to UNLV. Understanding Excel has helped me to prepare for my future classes. I have been behind for IS101 most of the semester. I want to finish strong and complete all my assignments and prepare for the summer.

Continuing from Phase 1

During Phase 1 of IS101-3003/5, Spring 2026 I felt I did not apply myself as much as I should of. Due to personal events, I had been focused on either that or other classes. I had to catch up toward the deadline to ensure I was prepared for my MO-110 word certification exam. In the future I would like to prioritize IS101 and ensure that I focus more on doing my assignments. I feel dedicating more time to assignments and due dates will keep me on track to success.

Since I have already completed the MO-110 Word certification exam and passed, I will discuss how I prepared for it. I took time to study each project and module in LabSim before actually taking the exam. I focused on the portions that were giving me trouble and went back to watch the videos in LabSim to give me clarity on what I was doing wrong.

I have completed an 8 week course of English 102 with a 94 so I feel good about that. I am continuing to succeed in college and ensuring I complete my assignments on time. IS101 seems to be my most challenging course for some reason. I don't like check list and IS101 seems to be a lot of those. For me to succeed I will likely backtrack to week one and check every list of assignments that I need to complete to catch up and succeed.

Hello

My name is Casey Lynn Hill. I am a student at College of Southern Nevada or CSN. I am also a 7 year veteran of the U.S Army. My MOS was 19D or Cavalry Scout. I am currently pursuing a degree in business and eventually transferring to UNLV to pursue a degree in marketing.

My first impression of IS101 and CSN was the level of professionalism that I have experienced. My professor in IS101 as well as my other courses have displayed a certain level of continuity of expertise that I want to achieve.

In 1.3.3 Smartphone facts, I have used multiple apps on my phone and understand how apps work. I have also used mobile authentication at school to log into my CSN profile. Overall, I am just trying to learn as much as I possibly can before I enter the world of marketing.

I am originally from Abilene, Texas but reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. My goals for the next 5 years are to finish my degree and work in the marketing field of business. I want to have a career that promotes a product that helps my community and ultimately the world.
